Manslaughter

I killed another character over the weekend. It wasn’t premeditated. In fact, it was quite accidental. I was happily writing, just minding my own business, when I realized what had happened.

Stunned, I sat there for a moment, weighing my choices. Should I go back and resurrect him (figuratively, not the literal spell)? It was a tempting thought, but the character was no longer needed–his role ended with this chapter. So, I left him for dead. It was interesting how natural, how right it felt. Does that make me a bad person?
