I picked up Mistress of the Night, book two of The Priests, today. From what I’ve heard, I already know that the priest(ess) of Shar is the antagonist in the book. I’m starting to wonder if Maiden will be the only story to feature the cleric of the goddess that the book is named after as the protagonist.
I also noted in the first pages that Maiden is now book number three in the series, having swapped places in the rotation with Queen of the Depths. Because the books are all stand-alone stories, it doesn’t really matter, but it is interesting to watch as the process plays out.
