So, what’s next?

As Ed so wittingly put it, finishing Maiden marks the end of a significant chapter in my life. It is definitely a beginning; this is not the last book I will write. That said, I’m a little burnt out on writing and will take the month of January off, though I do have an article proposal I want to send off to Dragon.

I don’t know the next step in my relationship with Wizards of the Coast. I’m waiting to broach the subject with Phil until after the dust on Maiden settles. Regardless of that outcome, my own projects will be more than enough to keep me busy. The plan is to complete the outline for The Shattered Amulet in February and have the manuscript finished by the end of the year.

In the meantime, there are plenty of house projects that I need to catch up on. I also want to redesign the website, turning it into a showcase for my writing. I have a new page template I’m working on, the blog will no longer be the home page, and I’ll be reorganizing the forums to facilitate discussion on my published works (I will activate the comments on the blog so people can respond to posts there directly).
