CSFF blog tour – Feb 2007 (day 1)

This month’s CSFF blog tour features WhereTheMapEnds.com. This website is fairly new on the scene, as evidenced by some of its “coming soon” sections, but it still packs quite a bit of content for someone interested in Christian-oriented science ficiton and fantasy.

I was a little surprised to see the site was entirely static html. That translates into a lot of extra work to organize, edit and update. With all the free internet “publishing” software packages available today that feature dynamic content generation/management, it seems a little masochistic not to use one when trying to build a resource for a large community like CSFF readers. I learned that lesson myself as webmaster for my church’s website, which I converted to WordPress from static HTML last year.

I encourage you to look through the Interviews, Booklist, and Tools for Writers sections. Also, be sure to see what others on the tour have to say (links below). For Days 2 and 3, I’m going to provide summaries of the tour stops I found interesting, so be sure to stop back by here.
